DisneyRank is how TheDisneyPortal.com ranks Disney sites. The method is based on three factors:
1) Google PageRank
2) Alexa Traffic Rank
3) User Voting

Members' votes will count more than non-members' votes, so we encourage you to sign up if you want your voice to be heard loudly.
Our philosophy is that the best sites should do very well on each of the three factors listed above, while the worst sites will do rather poorly on each. For great sites that most people don't know about, the user voting will help their ranking. This method also means the top sites list will be free of poor sites that somehow get more than their fair share of traffic.
We've setup our site fairly efficiently, which enables us to update DisneyRank about once per week. We update DisneyRank for 250+ Disney sites weekly, including the assignments and rankings to 20+ categories. This method is superior to manual methods, because the frequency of updates allows us to catch recent trends.
In the future, we dream of being able to use DisneyRank to give you a Disney Portal snapshot of the hottest Disney buzz on the web.
